Through the process of rebuilding my credit I started by getting sub-prime credit cards in the beginning such as first premier, my tribute, orchard, etc. Well I now have better cards that I haven’t had for very long. But my sub-prime cards will not increase my limits. So my question is this! Should I cancel my sub-prime cards that I’ve had longer or cancel the ones I have less history with? Since I’m getting better cards I need to cancel a few cause I dont want more than 4 or 5 credit cards. Thanks

I wouldn’t necessarily worry about having more than 4-5 cards open as long as you’re not running up balances on all of them. If you have to cancel some of them, do a couple of each.
According to 20/20’s advice, DO NOT CANCEL. Just cut it up and don’t use it. Canceling MAY hurt your credit.
Cancelling works against you…. Dont use them.
