Hopefully you aren’t looking for a free merchant account as no such things exists. The credit card companies all charge for accepting their credit cards so naturally no one is going to pay your bills for you.
So I am going to assume you are looking for a merchant account that has no start up costs and will give you free equipment. I recommend calling Merchant Services (their ebay handle is merchantservicesinc) (see sources below for link) as they have a plan where they give you free equipment and have no start up costs. Plus their rates are ultra-competitive. They also have a toll-free number so you can call them and investigate further before actually signing up.
