How do I transfer a domain name from Yahoo! to another web hosting service?

I purchased a domain name some time ago. I read answers about how to transfer if you have a plan, but how do I contact Yahoo! if I don’t have a small business plan? Yahoo!’s customer care phone # is no longer in use. Any help would be appreciated.

Some web hosts have made this process very easy. When registering with these services they offer a BOX that you insert your existing domain name. During the registering your domain would be transferred outomatically.

As an experienced webmaster I recommend BH web hosting which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer for hosting & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them.

You can reach reviews about this web hosting provider and its latest DISCOUNT COUPONS at:

While transferring your domain name to another host you need to mention your EPP code while registering with another hosting company.

To generate EPP code do the following steps
1.Sign in to your Yahoo! Business Control Panel (you’ll be prompted to enter your Yahoo! ID and password if you haven’t already done so).
    2. Click the "Domain Control Panel" link under your domain name.
    3. On your Domain Control Panel, click "View Your Authorization Code."
    4. On the following page, you’ll see your domain’s unique authorization code. I recommend printing this code for your records, as you’ll need to provide it to your new registration upon transfer.

    Check http://neond.com
Contact the support team on that web site for step by step guidance on how to transfer your domain name, if you like to transfer your domain name to NeonD web hosting company.

You can just change the name servers for the domain name so that it points to your new hosting account or you can fully transfer the domain name away and also transfer the actual domain name.
It also depends on the actual domain name extension. Weather it is a UK domain name or a US domain such as a .com domain etc.
You can find below instructions for transferring a domain name based on the type of domain name.

    Hi Pmint,

    You can go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/smallbusiness/domains/accountmanagement/accountmanagement-24.html

    and follow the steps there.

Unfortunately, Yahoo only provides phone and email support
for their small business users. No wonder their business
is getting weaker and weaker day by day.

Below the source box I included a link in case you need
just to point your domain name to 3rd party web hosting
service, instead of transferring your domain to them.

    Hope that helps.
