How long should it take someone to process a credit card payment?

On Nov 3rd 2006 I had a housing inspection done; I gave the guy my credit card information to process the payment and he gave me a receipt. As of today the payment has still not come out of my account. Is there a point when he will not be able to take the money from my account (like a check is void after 90 days)

10 business days is standard. Whether or not a point comes where the money cannot be withdrawn is irrelevant. You need to call the housing inspection person and get an explanation, and contact your credit card company to make sure there is no mistake.

I am not sure. But he can always send you a bill unless you move away.
