How would you go about getting a business fax number?

I bought a pair of medical stockings, they were to small. I returned them to the store and was given a credit slip. The owner(of a small mom & pa Medical supply place)said it would be on my account next day, found out it wasn’t in the mean time she said she had to return them to manufacturer, cause they were worn. 2 weeks go by and I contacted the bank to dipute it and also Better Business Bureau on her. Then yesterday she finally gives me the credit. This am I checked my account and she debiited me again. So now the bank is asking for her fax number, I know she won’t give it to me. SO how would I find it without paying a fee on line?

You don’t need a ‘business fax number’ — all you need is a fax machine. You can use your regular line for that.

if you wanted to have a fax number in addition to your normal number, check with your phone provider for ‘distinctive ring’ feature. That means that you have a fax connected and it will recognize automatically that it’s a fax. All other calls will go to your normal phone.

Tell your bank you don’t have it – but give them all of the information about the business that you do have – you don’t have to do their job for them, they’re just asking in case you happen to have that information.

It may be the same as her regular phone #, but when she’s expecting a fax, switches to the fax machine, you never know.

Or, if she’s like me, she uses her PC as a fax machine, just plug in the phone line and set fax on.
