I am starting a business which involves delivering Alcohol and Tobacco. Do I need a Personal License or do I need a Premises License? Or both? I have a feeling its both.
What are the processes in obtaining both of these licenses, for example, I know a Premises License involves paying a non-refundable £100 but would I have to go to court or pass ’some sort of’ test’ in order to obtain one?
Do both of these licenses cover selling Tobacco as well as Alcohol? I would also like to set up, through a website, a pay by debit/credit card facility and really need to know what the best way of doing this as my business needs to accept cash as well and ‘Cards’ (People at parties do run out of money when they live in the Country haha).
Thanks very much for anyone’s constructive help & thank you for your time.

Ps…Haha, I can handle drunks and pain in the ass customers. I spent 4 years of my life in the Parachute Regiment (Army).
As for being ripped off, that’s why I’m thinking it pay through PayPal. If it is Cash of Delivery, I won’t be getting the Alcohol out of the van.

I’ve dreamed of doing this for a long time…………..YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT YOU WILL DEAL WITH ALLOT OF DRUNKS You could easily get ripped off or beat up. I only wish the danger would not be a factor.
Don’t forget firearms.
When I become president-for-life Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms will be a convenience store.
