I am in a pickle, got served summons for unsecured credit debt, 6700.00, i am seeing an attorney wed to file chapter 7, no other choice! After i file, can a judge then request my bank statements? Reason asking, is i am receiving ssi (for real disability) and my spouse did not have his own checking account and i have been depositing his unemployment checks in mine for like 3 YEARS!

you are filing a b/k just for yourself?
I believe both yours and your husbands assets and liabilities will be considered in any b/k, including bank account
he’s been getting unemployment for 3 years?????????????
I think this will be again a good question to ask to your attorney.
If you think attorney should discuss all options, with pros and cons with you, see, if a long term payment plan can be arranged to pay of all the debt. There debt consolidators, see if calling them provides you into any further insite.
Your civil cases will be stayed. But you still might be in a pickle because you have been deposing your spouse unemployment check in your account. Your bankruptcy attorney can help you here, Make sure you are very honest with him.
Stop mixing your spouses money into your bank account. Your SSI payments are protected by law from garnishment, but once you start adding other money to the account, those moneys can be garnished.
Have your spouse open a savings account if he can’t get a checking account and cash his own checks through this account.
