First, I would make a business plan. I have books and a CD on this that I acquired for free from some university. You might be able to acquire it on line.
Basically, begin with assets. How much money are you willing to invest? $20,000?
    1. How much will the rent per month be? Per year?
    2. Taxes, Licenses, utilities, insurance, remodeling, salaries
    per month/year
    3. Inventory
You should have enough funds to survive for two years. Can you do all this on $20,000?
You have to make the plan. Then take it to your bank to discuss it with your commercial loan officer. He will tell you what I have left out.
If this is a school assignment, put some basic ideas down on paper and go to the bank first.

The first you have to do is to work in a business you want to open,so you learn what it takes to keep it open and to be sure that is what you want to get your self into.It is not all about make the big money ,you should not open a business just because of the money you never going to make it that way.Good Luck.Learn as much as you can before you invest in a business.

Internet Cafe personally… Its something I’ve always wanted to have. Though, mine would be like, internet cafe/bookstore… Some day…

Its a good investment in my area though. We only have three "hot spots" around here, two starbucks, and a Macdonald’s. A smaller coffee/sandwich/desert shop with lots of little tables, some with computers, some clear so you can set up your lap top… A section in the back with new and used books and big comfy chairs for reading. And in the other back corner, my husband’s computer repair area…

I ran a restaurant and would not recommend any business involving food. i know run a business supplying internet cafes and i would highly recommend it (we’ve helped setup about 300). My personal goal is to go for a business that requires little day to day attention, so i am earning money even if i sleep in. Visit our site at http://www.arinda.com.au/howtoguide.asp to learn more about setting up an internet cafe. But keep in mind that it is really up to your and your particular situation.
