Need merchant account to bill client $3400 what are my options?

I need to simply bill my clients credit card. What service can I sign up for?

Google-checkout is not an option because of the unreasonably complicated verification period. I’ve moved twice in the past year and Google is asking for drivers licenses and documents at each location. This simply isnt possible since the DMV will seize any prior state drivers license.

Is there anything with a standard verification process?

There is no way to sign up for one charge, and it certainly is not quick or inexpensive to set up Merchant Services.

See if the client has PayPal. If you do, he can bill it directly to his card and pay use as a ’service’.

The only other legit thing I can think of is to offer them a discount to get a cash advance. A 3 to 5% discount should be more than enough to compensate them for the advance fee.

Because of the substantial fraud and return risks, there are few systems yet available for this type of ‘one off’ transaction …. though rumor has it that apple has a new application attached to their iphon pending future approval. Their problem is not the technology, but the fraud and legal compliance issues associated with accepting cards for payment too.

    Good Luck!
