I made an online purchase yesterday and according to my online banking, my credit card has not been charged yet, nor have I received any type of confirmation email. The site says it takes 1-2 days to process orders- is the "processing" of an order what needs to happen before my card gets charged, and I get emailed? Thanks, this is obviously my first online purchase.

Credit Cards are STUPID!!! I hope you’re using a Debit card is all I’ve got to say..
site is right, after the time you will get comfirmation email and cc will be charged
What happens with me is that I buy something (lets say Monday) then about Wednesday/Thursday I’ll get a confirmation order. If I haven’t by then I ask the person I bought the product from.
it was the weekend most banks wont post any till Monday
they will consider it a monday Transaction
too bad you don’t tell what site you were on- it makes it very hard to check your question
for verification ..
Yes. It generally takes one or two business days for the transaction to post to your credit card. That’s true for "brick and mortar" store purchases as well as on-line retailers. Transaction posting is not a "real time" process.
