How come you can no longer make a website today without joining a host or paying for a domain lke in the 90s?
Back in the early 1990s,I made some websites.I did not have to ever join a group that sponsers or hosts a websites nor did I have to buy a domain.How come now,you cannot post a personally made website without purchasing a domain or joining a web business that will host and sponser your site?

guys, girls. i really want to have my own domain name for a blog but i cant seem to find any legit websites, I know yahoo hosts and gives you a domain name but thats more business type. So do any of you know any good sites where i can buy a domain name and maybe even host my own web page? like maaaybe typepad yet--i dont know. too [...]
