Will paying a cell phone bill with a credit card then paying the credit card bill up my credit?

I’m trying to raise my credit in the quickest way possible. I am in my freshman year of college, 18 years old, and looking to start out right.
Also, what is the best way to use a credit card in order to raise credit the fastest? I know it’s not a fast process but I’m wondering about the best way.

Best way is to use it for every day things and pay it off in full every month before the due date. And yes your idea about paying the cell phone bill using your card will work.

I have used 3 cards for just about everything I buy every month for the last 2 years and raised my score over 150-points and made several hundred dollars in cash back rewards and never paid a penny in fees or interest.

Not bad for using someone elses money for free.

The cell phone doesn’t report to the credit bureau, but credit card compnay does. Best way to use your credit card is to use it and pay in full every month. This will build good payment history.
